Project Overview
The Sambota Language Education Program was initiated to preserve linguistic heritage and promote cultural identity among local students in Dolakha, Nepal.
Objectives
- Preserve and promote Sambota language
- Strengthen cultural awareness among youth
- Support community-based education
Implementation
The program was conducted continuously for five years at:
- Saraswati Primary School
- Shikpashwor School
- Shree Himwarti Secondary School
Location
Marbu-7 and Chawnkhu-6, Gaurishankar Rural Municipality, Dolakha, Nepal
Impact
- Hundreds of students gained foundational knowledge in Sambota language
- Increased cultural pride and awareness in local communities
- Strengthened educational collaboration with local schools
